Got another ride in today, probably the last of the year!

The weather here in Southeast Wisconsin was beautiful today, high 50's. I haven't had the 900F out for a ride since I brought it over to the new house over a month ago, been too busy putting in a new kitchen and other projects on the house. I couldn't resist the weather though and I needed to run to the store for some stuff to finish the current project (wiring the dishwasher) anyway, so out came the bike! Well, what's usually a 5 minute drive turned into about a 40 minute ride around the local interstate, I was having too much fun to quit. This will probably be my last ride of the year, hopefully when it warms up again in the spring I'll have fewer projects hanging over my head and I'll be able to enjoy the bike more. Now, I'm determined to winterize the bike this year, unlike last. I've got some SeaFoam and some Marvel Mystery Oil, both claim to stabilize gas so I'll probably put some in. Though, I did go past the reserve today so I guess I'll either have to fill up a can or ride over to a gas station. Hmm, that could turn into another chance for a last ride of the year! Very Happy

Supposed to get cold tomorrow though, we'll see how it turns out.

Sorry the riding season is coming to a close for you. We could actually use some cooler weather down here. Its supposed to be 87 today--doesn't feel like its almost Thanksgiving.

That is sad. We can ride 24/7 365 days a year here - hahaha.

Ya sure...
But...we don't have to worry about some big native trying to take our bike right from under us while we are still on it.

We don't need to unlock the main gate, then the 3 locks on the garage, disarm the alarm system (armed response isnt available here either)
Then we don't need to unlock the house gate and the 4 locks on the main door, or deactivate the house alarm.

We don't need "hand grenade" bars on our windows... Shocked

When we are in our "cages" we don't need to lock the doors or the gas cap.

When we walk down the street we can look the Black folks in the eye and say "good day" without worrying about our lives.

SA is a nice place to visit, but belive me when I say, "over here" we have much less to worry about.

I can handle the cold just fine thanks... Razz

I don't know Randy, you look at some of the blacks here in the eye, and you get shot, knifed or beat up. That is one rule you learn in NYC is, don't look anyone in the eye for too long!

I know, in Calgary, you have what? 10? Very Happy

Your right though maybe 10%

Its alot different over there for sure.
Not that bad really but boy there are alot of precautions.
They even have parking guards in the shopping malls.
Guys paid to watch your car while your shopping,
the ones I saw carried what they call a "shambock"
A long stiff whip type of thing.....man I'd hate to see the working end of one of those.. Shocked

Not quite that bad, but sure there is crime here, like there is everywhere. I have had two opportunites to go to Canada, but turned them down. We have great weather here. Was a cop here for 10 years and I guess things are getting better.

I' glad to hear its getting better.
We have family in Durban and in Zim, Hopefully the ones in Zim will be moveing to SA soon..

Too bad you missed out on coming over though.

The weather is nice here too, when the rain turns to snow we get to play with these....

This years line up.

It is -3 C right now, the ride to work was just fine.... Wink

Oh man - those are awesome. Personally I prefer the cold to the heat. Your family need to get out of Zim man. That place is bad news. PM me if you need help with visa's etc. Connected.
