George is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. I'll be thinking about him and praying for a fast and complete recovery. I expect to see him at the Spring ride! |

I kind of feel sorry for the hospital staff. George is going to be a handful!! They have no clue what they are in for!

Thanks for posting Ronnie:
George info/update,
This all came on pretty quickly. Shortly after going to Deals Gap late September, 1st October, George started experiencing chest pain, shortness of breath and pain in left arm when exerting himself. After several CAT scans and other procedures, Doctors found he had a heart defect at birth, a bicuspid aortic valve, which had to be replaced ASAP. Surgery went well and they already have him sitting up. We are forunate there are teams of Doctors and Nurses who do these surgeries everyday.
Appreciate the flood of Prayers and Well wishes...
Peace
Vince |

George,
Here is wishing you a speedy recovery.
See you soon, give them hell I'm sure it will be very entertaining at the hospital for a few days. You might as well make the most of it.
Best

Looking damn good George!! I'm sure you'll be well enough soon that you can get home to recover and get some real food.
Keep your hands off of those nurses!!
Cheers!

Damn, George! As soon as I heard this I started making you a new valve on my lathe, but it looks like your docs beat me to it. Hoping for a speedy and complete recovery for you.
Be good,
Peter |

Thanks agian for the well wishes and support.
George Update:
After 4.5 days in Cardiac ICU (no room to move him to) George is home. He says the pain from cutting chest open is brutal. He is glad to be home and begin the healing process.
Peter, I think a titanium valve was an option, however they put a biological one in.
Peace

I texted George today that we were doing a Fing F bike ride in his honor, he called about the time we got home this evening.
George says "HE'S BACK" !!!!
As everyone that knows George, he was joking and sounding like George !!!!😀
I'll let him share at the spring ride
Was great to hear, he's in a lot of pain and hating the isolation, but looking forward to riding soon
Everyone needs to pray for his wife now 😀 |
