Hey guys, I have a 83 1100f. After our ride up in New Hampshire the tach started to make a noise. I pulled the carbs to install the oem air box. And while doing so I forced cable graphite up thru all the cables to the tach. The noise in the tach went away for a while. But now it’s back. Before I pull the tach apart , is there any advice that anyone can offer on this issue.
Thanks
Bart

Mine did it. so removed gauges tipped upside down.
Put a small amount of light oil around were the cable connects and let it sit for a period .
Hard to say how long but if to long oil will get into gauge face .
try this out . it worked for me . |
