Greetings from Okie Bubba Land (Oklahoma). I’m a life long rider, more than 300k under my butt. Owned 30+ bikes. Do my own “wrenching” and built a few! Been looking at “classics” for some time, that’s whole “revisiting lost youth thing”. Finally jumped in feet first with a basket case 1100F. Lots of new parts and spares. Frame painted New valve job, F2 front end and rear wheel (and the original) progressive shocks (new) It’s a rough dog but great potential. I ride a high mileage FJR now. My last bike was a CBR954 which was “built” and by far the best bike I’ve owned. Any and all advice and recommendations will be appreciated. Going to do a nice “resto-mod” improving handling and performance as I can afford. Will restore finish to original blue/white I’ve named him “Freddie🙄

Looks pretty good already. If you are going to split the engine open get Captains cam chains and guides and a modified oil pickup from Headless at a minimum. Change the primary rubber dampers also. Have fun!

Good to see you here Kev! Looks like a good start for your Resto-Mod. Contact Tom K. if you need any advice on resto mod bikes, he has built 2 beauties for himself and is working on a 3rd. for a customer. He does amazing powder coating too.

Cheers!
Chris
