I won't hold my breath since Honda rarely delivers on these teasers. But if they did and it was in a color scheme I like, I'd probably unload at least one RM and buy one. (maybe both?)
Considering what it costs to do these builds myself, a brand new bike with modern suspension, awesome brakes, and a powerful injected engine would make it an easy decision.

I agree with Tom about buying one if it comes out.
Steve
And there was a YouTube video about it. Pay attention at the 3:05 mark. Lol

Amazing, they used your bike as a inspiration. I'm jealous!
They really should pay more attention to the number of "F'ers" the CB1100F site has brought together. It's a phenomenon that has not been duplicated by any other entity.
Nice Steve!
Glenn, you did "Ok" also

Based on the sales of the CB1000R, with leftover 2018's and 19's, with $2000 rebates and no 2020 model, as I've said before, I'm not holding my breath, but I'd love to be wrong 😀
We could all wait until we're the fossils they're talking about and YOLO, You Only Live Once
So I got tired of waiting and decided to buy a new CB1000R for my birthday last week.
All I can say is, it's a really nice motorcycle and I'm loving it, excellent power, traction control, abs brakes, ride modes, and does really nice 2nd gear wheelies, that make Janet giggle
Since I bought mine, I've had 2 friends that rode it, and immediately went and bought one.
If they made a new F bike I'd have to upgrade 😀

Nice bike!
I was looking at that one..did you get the premium model? Heated grips? Cruise control?
Do you feel the 140hp is enough compared to the other naked hot rod bikes?

Steve,
In the US there is/was only one model
You can add heated grips, there isn't an option of cruise control
I think it has more than enough power, as honestly it has more rear wheel horsepower than my 1123 motor in my 82 900F and my 93 CBR900RR
The throttle response with the fuel injection is amazing.
Like I said, I've let 2 friends ride it, and they both immediately went out and bought one,
One of them, Gordon, who I ride with once or twice a week owns everything from a new Gold Wing to a Panigale 1299 and a new Ducati V4S, his comment when he first saw mine, was he'd never seen one or was aware of that model, 2 days later he texted me and said he bought one 😀
When someone that owns a new Ducati V4S rated at 234 HP, buys one I think that answers the question about having enough HP, the best. 😀

Hmmm, I just noticed a local dealer has a 2018 model for 3k under msrp.......
I’ve liked the look of that bike since I saw it at the 2018 New York MC show.....
Do you feel the ride by wire throttle feel is abrupt? How about in sport mode?

There is a noticeable difference in the throttle response between the standard and sport mode.
To me once you get used to the bike and the throttle response, I always just leave it in the sport mode.
There is also a user mode that allows you to set the levels of traction control, engine braking, and power to whatever you wish
I'm really enjoying it 😀🙏
I did have to remove the stock license plate monstrosity and added a license plate kit from Yoshimura.
Exhaust changes will probably be next

Ron, I went on Youtube and watched some test videos of this bike. Sounds like it would be a fun rider. I like the way you can tune in the different modes to your personal liking.
Good call on ditching that rear licence plate thingy.
On the new bikes with O2 sensors and cat-converters, can you install a 'normal' 4-1 header? What type of exhaust system would you get for your bike?
My 1983 Honda is the latest model motorcycle I've ever owned!
Cheers!

I'm looking at the SC project and the Akraprovic full systems, both have provisions for the O2 sensors and would save 14-15 pounds, but of course pretty pricey.
We will see

Ron, that rear fender eliminator really looks great and makes the bike look much better.
How are you making out with that stupid left side Honda switch that reverses the directional and the horn?
It infuriates me on the Africa Twin and constantly has me stabbing at the directional in traffic as I try to sound the horn. Grrrrrr......
I didn’t realize the US didn’t get the model with the quick shifter, heated grips and cruise.
Still love that bike and think I like it in black better than the proposed “ F” lookalike with the new red Honda circular emblem....
Unless they did it like this.....I’m rock hard for a version like this..

What did you pay for your bike Ron? Up here in Ontario, the 2020 model is $15,200, equiv. to 11,200 USD. Then there is our 13% tax.

In the US, you should be able to buy that bike for around $10,500 drive out, which I think is a lot of motorcycle for the $$$$$
Janet ordered me the seat cowl for my birthday, it came in today
I think it looks much better
Steve I guess I've gotten used to the newer Honda switches, as the Grom and Monkey we have are like that as well

That seat cowl looks great, along with the "tidy tail" treatment. What tires did your bike come with? Do you like them?
Your right about the price in the U.S., that is a great bike for just north of 10K.
And...Happy Belated Birthday Ron!!
Cheers!

My CB1000R came with Bridgestone S21 tires, which are the predecessor to the Bridgestone S22's, that I've been running on Janet's CBR600RR and my CBR900RR the last 12-18 months.
They are competitively priced, with rebates usually offered in the Spring and the Fall, and work well and last reasonably well for a sport tire
