There are these gouges and scratches in places on the barrel that I discovered when I removed it. I am wondering if this is gonna be too much for the base gasket to cope with. Looks pretty fucked up if you ask me but I don't really want to yank the liners and have it machined unless there is no other solution. |

It might be ok and it might not? You could use some JB weld and hand file it down. Won't be a fast job but it will work if you take your time.

Push some jb weld in there like Him said and cover the case with painters tape or cling wrap the bolt it down. It'll dry flat. Just be careful not to squish some out and glue the two parts together. |
