I'm slowly taking apart and cleaning / painting / replacing parts as needed (which it seems to need a lot of) on my 1100F I bought back in December.
This forum has been a great resource of both knowledge and parts needed for these aging bikes.

I just finished painting my swingarm using Duplicolor green self etching primer, then Duplicolor engine enamel (DE1615 Aluminum), then Spray Max 2K clear and think it looks ok, time will tell as far as durability. Powder coating may be a better option for the long term.

Send to TomK1960 for powder coating. Will have better durability with rocks etc. hitting it all the time!

I agree. I "think" I remember reading a post from TomK that he can powder coat the swingarm with bearings and bushings intact.
My local powder coater insists on all that being removed. If Tom wasn't across the country he would have had my swingarm to PC, and probably some other parts.
The 2K clear is a pretty hard finish, we'll see how it lasts.
Also, if the OP goes that route, wearing a respirator is a must when spraying the clear.
