I've moved to Tucson Arizona and now have a home shop for my stuff. We put up another outbuilding for my wifes woodworking tools and stuff. The point of this is that I now have room to add motorcycles, which is not necessarily a good thing.
In April of 1983, I bought my blue (you know, the faster one) CB1100F. Still have it.
When Honda decided a couple of years ago to make an updated version, I had a bad case of envy, since I had no place to put one. Now, of course I have the space, but I thought the ship had sailed and I would have to scout for a used one.
One of the dealers here had a NOS black one, but they wanted more than MSRP for it. I discovered another dealer and went to visit. There, in it's shinyness sat a red, new, 2013 one. Checked the price tag and it was reasonable (they put the OTD price on the back of the tag) and immediately told the salesman that I'll give him a check. Bought it and am picking it up Wednesday. It's a little radical, even for me, to spend 30 seconds at a dealer that is new to me and buy a new bike. Can't say enough about Musselman Honda here in Tucson.
Now, I'll have a 1983 and a 2013. Symmetry.
