A quick search turned up these pics.
Dual disc spoke is still my favourite look.

I was reading that a whole pipe on these is worth 10hp! Shocked
It makes 82 at the wheel.....92 sounds like fun!
Runs a high 11 bone stock.....plenty fast for this....

Looks like they're offering two models - the CB1100EX with the spoke wheels and 6-into-2 exhaust, and the current model they are calling the CB1100. Here is the EX:

I think I'd prefer this exhaust with the cast wheels. Smile

All we need now is the engine modification experts on this site to take the engine apart and find another 20 hp!

effing ace!!
Fuel injection eh?Too bad they kept the shitty airbox.
Now all that's needed is guys swopping over the newer bikes parts over to their 30 year old bikes.

Really cool bike though.

Same here. Now that I'm spoiled by the fairing on my Interceptor, I want something similar on a bike like this one.

My vote is for cast wheels, 4-into-2 exhaust, full fairing, and at least as much HP as a 30yr old 1100F. A little more would be nice too.

Jebby - you have the right idea. Let someone else pay the full price and then we can get them for a few thou less before long.

I like the retro spoke look! Now if they get it over 100hp , they may have something. after all as been noted our 1100F's make over 100hp from 30 years ago.

What I think you really want is torque, which it has the same rating as the old ones, 68 ft lbs, but at 5000 RPM instead of 7500 RPM. Screw horsepower, this bike is probably a nicer ride on the street or in canyons, especially now with the 6th gear.

A fairing would definitely be nice, but something like a Slipstreamer might do.

I agree.....an 83' 1100f stock puts out what this does at the wheel piped....and at a lower RPM....
Add a Power commander and have fun.....

Does anybody know what the CB1100 does in the quarter mile? The 2014 version has the 6 speed but the first 5 speeds are the same as 2013. Interested in knowing how fast this thing is.

Like I said.....it runs high 11's......Cycle World had it at 11.70 something.....
With a pipe and ECU.....I would say 11.30's are possible....
That is flying on that thing....

July 2013 issue:

Measured Top Speed: 112 mph

1/4 mile: 11.79 sec. @ 110.87 mph

0-60 MPH: 3.3 sec.

0-100 MPH: 8.6 sec.

Top Gear Time To Speed, 40-60 MPH: 4.4 sec.

Top Gear Time To Speed, 60-80 MPH: 4.9 sec.

Fuel Mileage (High/Low/Average): 43/37/41 mpg

AVG Range (incl. Reserve): 160 mi.

This jibes with the weight and rear wheel power......

I still think the EX looks better than the R model. That EX is a sweet package. 6 speed trans, ABS brakes, spoked wheels, cross drilled rotors, bigger gas tank, nice size oil cooler, analog instruments, patterned seat with strap, gear indicator and fuel guage, period mirrors, bigger tires etc. Would make a nice addition to the garage.

A modern 1100cc sport touring motorcycle with old school suspension.less, than 100 crank hp...wtf is Honda thinking.dont get me wrong ,I love to ride my 83 1100f, it turns alot of heads but its a boat anchor compared to my r6 and fz1.

I know I speak CBX a lot...but what if they built a neo-retro version of it that made 95hp at the wheel....would anyone bitch about how archaic it is? Just a thought.....
That bike is a different school of thought.....and I always bring up it's competiton nowadays...the new Bonneville....
This bike woops it by 2 seconds in the 1/4.....

I bet that bike would be like the mint Miata I fixed earlier this year.....it is easier to try to ride the balls off it due to the fact that it does have less power.....

One of the big three mags should do a back to back with the 83' and the '13..... Cool

No accounting for personal taste. I would almost be prepared to give my left testivle for the 1100R.
If they brought that out here and the ergonomics were ok for me, I would just go and buy one and apologise to the wife later.

I'm done having kids, so I would give one up as well. The GF would be fine with another bike in the garage as long as her car will still fit.

Remember there is no such thing as horsepower, except for calculation purpose.

There is torque delivered for as much range of RPM as possible. Peak torque is usually the displacement in cu in as ft lbs,ie 80 cu in is 80 ft lbs. It is expression of cylinder fill as well over a large range of RPM,which is desireable.

They show as low HP because the torque falls off so quickly at RPM.
