Well it finally got me...
I put my F down in a corner today..
I had her to far down and went out from under me.
I got away with only sore feet and a bit of rash ..
My helmet took most of it..
My F on the other hand...
fairing is shot, forks are bent and front fender is toast...
Other than that she'll be ok..
Glad I wasn't going fast..
Hard lesson learned ...
L8R...
Crying or Very sad

Sorry to hear that! The one positive is that you could walk away.

Thanks guys ,, from now on I'll be watching how far I push it , I never thought I'd
put her too far into a lean ,, running out of tire happens fast ..
I got her stripped down and I think that hurt almost as bad as what I did to myself ..
I had to .. I feel as if I let the poor girl down .. she has been so good to me thus far ..
The rebuild process has begun though..
I'm putting the larger forks in that the newer F bikes had ..( same as goldwing)
I swapped out the tripple trees already .. have to put fork seals so I don't have to worry about them going bad ..
so turns out my fairing is smashed all to pieces ..
I can say 1 thing ,, other than the fairing and forks .. she held up good ..
I think she will be ready to go in a few days ,,
but I'm going to be a couple weeks ..

A few things....

Glad you walked away from it.. Been there, done that. A good crash is exactly that...

What kind of tires are you running? F bikes will drag peg before running out of tire......

And what kind of fairing?

running a boldor fairing ,,, the big one ..
and new this year bt 45's ..

they stick good until your off the side too far ..
I don't blame the tires one bit ..
and really , I'm sad that I wrecked the fairing too, I loved it ..
( held my coffee really nicely .)

Ive always run 110s on the front end... That 10 extra milimeters, seems to help a bit. Slows the front end down a tad, but a lil more meat on the front for those real tight lean in corners appears to help....

What they all said. Crying or Very sad

I find turning on my F scares me more when going slower than it does when running more speed. It just seems top heavey when going slow and gives me the feeling it wants to fall over. Confused

Maybe its just me. Rolling Eyes

Get healed up. Wink

Glad you're ok too. Was there any gravel or sand in the corner? We still have a lot of it around here in awkward places on back roads. Many Exclamation moments!

There was a rough part of road in the inside corner so I went around that ,,
and when I went to bring it back I noticed a bit of sandy stuff yes so I kept it straight ,,
so after that was over I was trying to get her to come back and I was running out of road ..
I had her leaned over so far I went off the side of the tread on my tires ..
That's when it went .. and the next thing I knew I was picking myself up off the road
wondering how it turned out ..
