Seems like a long time of little reward on the stock horns, though seldom used, led me on a path of possible replacement.
Not having the ingenuity of some of our guys on what they did with theirs, I sprayed some WD-40 on the set screw and fooled around for a half hour with adjustments in and out to no avail. Still sounded like a castrated duck.
Turned the setscrew two full turns clockwise (forget that 1/4 turn stuff...) and for the first time in years I heard the hi/low full volume! What a difference! It won't equal the modifications or dcb of newer horn systems, but it was a heck of a difference from what I was used to, and it was there all the time!
Worth an hour to play around with the ole' stock... Smile
