Fee, I would love to meet up with you, but with hunting season just around the corner, my weekends are limited. I am a hunting guide each fall, so I put my bike away pretty early on. I am located about 2 hours nortwest of Duluth. When were you thinking of taking this trip? I could perhaps sneak in an afternoon.......

I guide bird hunters, and do a far share of hunting myself. I am heading to north dakota in a few days, then it is pretty much every weekend until November. I will look at my scheduale and let you know about those few days in Sept. The fall foilage should be about peaked at that time of the fall, especially around Lake Superior. Highway 61 is a great ride, but the road from Grand Marias to Ely is spectacular. Take it if you have time. Highway 1.

There's a charity ride for Muscular Dystrophy in Tomahawk Wisconsin (middle of the state) this weekend Sept 17th. Mostly Harleys, but my Honda will be there. $180,000 were raised last year. It's a fairly calm crowd with a lot of loud mufflers and some beer.

(-:

A few of my friends will be up for the weekend and we may go for a ride to Bayfield Saturday.

I may not get back to the site this week - very busy right now. Email me if you'll be in the area.

Thanks,
Bill

I won't be able to make Tomahawk this weekend, but I will be at the Slimey Crud Run on Sunday, Oct 2nd which is West of Madison.

If your trip to Tomahawk brings you past Fond du Lac, let me know and maybe we can meet up for a few minutes.

Pete,

We''ll be heading north. I live in Wausau though, and if you are ever in the neighborhood and want a tour of the northwoods, keep me posted.

One of the guys on our ride used to live in Fon Du Lac. He had a Black CBX at the time.

Thanks,
Bill

One of my best friends lives in Wausau and he just bought a bike ( I won't say what kind). I may get up there yet this season.

Pete - I'm pretty busy most of the time, but I'd sure try to get free for a ride.

I was born up in that neck of the woods - town is now gone. sunken into the BWCA. I travel up every summer to canoe and fish with my wife and kids. ...and yeah Highway 1 is even fun in car Smile

BTW - one of the guys is riding over from Mankato with his wife for this weekend.
