Can somebody summarize which fairings came in what years on CB900F's for Canada. And maybe point me towards some factory stock pictures.
I've seen some w/no fairing at all, some with a small fairing around the headlight, and some with a larger fairing that even covers the legs a bit.
But I don't know which were ever available in Canada and when.....
Thanks,
Drozman |

I'm not sure that the Canadian 900F bies came with any fairing...There was a Continiental fairing kit available...
in any event, if you go to the "SuperSport Pictures" link on this site:
http://cb1100f.net/owners/index.htm
You will see everything...
Hope this helps...! |

As far as I know none of the Canadian F models came with an installed faring. The American 1100F is the only one I know of that has a fairing.
The ones that you are thinking of may be the Hondaline fairing that was available back in the day, I think was the same for the 750F/900F/1100F and CBX.

I've always thought of these full sport touring fairings as "F2" kit. I agree with Bryan,..they were a "Hondaline" piece available through the dealers. In Europe they may have come installed on a few chassis's,..these also carry an F2 tag. This is what I've thought anyway, but I could be corrected on it.

I looked through the picture archives and it appears that the fairling I want is the European one. A "Bol-dor" edition or such? Its also featured in one of the test rides available on this site as a Hondaline accessory (making it an alternative to the CBX).
They are probably pretty rare, and it would be a tad hopeful to expect to find one on a budget CB900!
Oh well, it doesn't hurt (or cost anything) to look.
Oddly enough Joe Wright posted the pics of his Bol-dor and he's from around the corner to me! Well, same province at least.

The pictured fairing was available as an after sale dealer "Hondaline" option on 82 CB900Fs sold in the USA. |

We had both the 750 and the 900 like that here in 1981 (FB) models and 1982 (FC models with the boomerang comstars).
The 1100's were always naked, but that;s OK as we had fully faired CBX's and some other bike, what was it now oh that's right, those jiggers refered to as CB1100Rs |
