Vent time.

So getting ready to do my wheel bearings as part of the restoration and I find there are wheel bearing retainers on the front wheel, rear wheel and the Cush drive...OK thats fine....BUT, Why does it require 3 different tools to remove them !! What the heck was Honda thinking ?

I bought the tool listed in the manual (said it did all of them), but it only fits the rear wheel (4 holes). Front wheel has 4 slots, so got that one off with a drift/screw driver, now I need a different size tool fo the retainer on the Cush drive FFS because the holes are spaced further apart than the rear wheel.

Pure madness!

Here Endeth My Rant

I'm with you.
I have used a spanner for removing grinding discs on elect tools.
Not perfect but has been successful and looks better after and not butchered.

have a look on epay for adjustable pin spanner. they look like a divider measuring tool but have pins located 90 degrees on the end of the legs. Most have two pin sizes back to back. Being like a divider you simply spread the legs till the pins fit the pitch circle diameter.
