Today was my last day at Sikorsky, closed on the Naugatuck house today as well, and left Connecticut. Headed to NM for about a month, then back to Maine to spend the summer at the Lake:

When I come back to Maine, I'll bring my trailer and my silver 900, which will be the next rebuild project.
Here are a couple of pics of the place.
Spending the night in Wilkes Barre, Pa, and then on to Wilmington, Ohio tomorrow. |

No sah, over 60 years old, recently had a heart attack, and don't need any more money. Time to hang it up and enjoy life.
My new rule: "If it ain't fun, I don't need to do it!"
Bring the wife to Maine, brother, and we'll drink some beverages, and look at the lake! |

Good call Rick! Money can't buy health, and if you want to enjoy life, you need your health.
I just had my 62 birthday last week, and I would say I'm doing pretty good healthwise. I will probably work for
another 3 years. My wife is packing it in this summer. She turns 60 and has enough of the hospital politics!!
Drive safely and enjoy my friend!!! BTW, that place you have on the lake in Maine looks ssooooo relaxing!!
Cheers!

Enjoy your retirement, one of my best friends suffered a heart attack time ago, he enjoys the retirement too and luckily he continues life without any problem.

Thanks, all!
Made it to Fenton, Missouri, today. Passed the "Gateway to the West" in St Louis. The rains in Ohio were absolutely epic yesterday. I'll trade a wet trip going out for a dry one going back, with a bike on the trailer... |

Hello Cliff:
Glad you made it to retirement age - now enjoy it!
It was nine years ago when I joined this forum and did not know how to post photos of the 1100F I had at the time. Then you offered to post those photos and the rest is history. Got to meet you in NM back in 2010 when I was in ABQ for the Balloon Fiesta and the first week of my retirement.
Maine is a great place. My wife and I toured the state last fall from Portland to Bar Harbor. Had a great time chartering a sailboat and doing some sea kayaking.
Thanks for being among the first to welcome me to this forum.
All the best, --Roger-- |

Good work, Rick!
Was trying to get my old man to do the same....but it took my mom's intrepid fight with breast cancer and his own fight with prostate cancer to realize that the runway may not be as long as he once thought.....and, at 69 this year...well, time to live. Can't take the money with you! And he's made PLENTY, good lord.
Enjoy doing what makes you happy every day...and, rubber down. |
