The blurb in his signature seems appropriate.

"This cosmic dance of bursting decadence and withheld permissions twists all our arms collectively, but if sweetness can win, and it can, then I'll still be here tomorrow, to high five you yesterday my friend. Peace"

As for "-Sigh.", that's my name. Soy = vegan. Boy = manchild. Sigh = my name, as in short for Silas. Spelled it that way since I was little, just to give the teachers something they could pronounce.

Well now it makes sense - guess I missed that post. Thanks.

This stinks.
Like a lot of us i did not read every word of his lengthy replies but in a lot of them there was an intelligent, often humorous tidbit.
I helped him out a couple years ago with some rearsets and of course needed his address in Alberta for mailing. It was like pulling teeth to get that info out of him and promises from me to not let anyone else know this information. He figured he had too many "enemies". haha.
I think it was his passion for motorcycles and his daughter that kept him going after the fire.

Condolences to her and any other family and friends.

That's very sad to hear. I always enjoyed seeing the passion and enthusiasm he had for obscure stuff. And he was always friendly and eager to contribute. His colourful posts will be missed for sure Sad

Sad news indeed. I was always amazed at his posts. I wouldn't have that much to say...ever. I get a bit chattier after drinking, but I would never be able to put together paragraphs of text.
RIP SOY!!

I haven't been here in ages. Been traveling and the signal to noise ratio (F4-F-Fest for example) here got really piss poor.

That said, Soy was a brilliant man and will be missed for his lengthy insights and writings.

Still have all my 1100 F's and maybe Glenn cleaned this place up a little while I was busy.

Wow. Did not expect this at all. He was the master of tangents and could go on and on. I think this forum was a bit of a therapy for him. I didn't have the concentration span to read all his posts but when I did I was always entertained, or puzzled, or something.

Ride on Soy Boy Sigh.

This was really sad news when I read about Soy's passing. I had a great deal of respect for a guy I never met but felt I knew through his insightful posts. Blinky would probably disagree because he was always so positive but I get the impression the guy had a challenging life dealing with long suffering back pain and the drug management that goes with it, (no doubt contributing to his long rambling posts), relationships and life experiences all contributing to his eccentric yet at the same time entertaining and some times just plain weird thoughts, yet throughout kept his sense of humour and faith in mankind. He obviously loved his classic bikes and gained a great deal of pleasure out of them and contributing to this site, I for one are very happy he did as I'm sure most here did.

Just felt I owed it to Soy to leave a few words in memory of one of our own who definitely left a mark on me and will be sorely missed. Keep the throttle open mate.

Chook.
