Any body with info on Sonicrete?

PLEASE no "bashing" in this thread.
It has been 15 months or so since Bill posted anything.
I remember him saying he was having health issues and was wondering if anybody had heard from or had info about him.
Despite his horrible delivery skills at times the old boy had a ton of F knowledge.

Sonic gave a lot of valuable DOHC info on the site in the early days and was certainly one of the most helpful members regarding solving problems unique to the DOHC engines.
He hated my guts, but I always found his cantankerous style and poor social skills hilarious, and I always had a great deal of respect for his mechanical know how and prowess in using engineering principles to solve problems related to these bikes.
IMO, He really fit the old school engineer stereotype in regard to poor social skills (social retard) while really shining as a mechanical problem solver.

He said he had a stroke years ago and never was able to post often after he reported that issue, and I hope that he is still around and is able to function enough to enjoy life.

He is missed, he once called me a roughneck or something like that over my method of grinding valve shims down, but I saw that as a badge of honor

Soniccrete gave me many valuable insights into these motors! His focus was very narrow (drag racing) but his wit and intelligence was laser sharp. If you posted a stupid idea he let you know ... take it or leave it. I respected the man immensely and his posts are missed. Hope he is hanging in there.

I like the guy, I believe he called me an idiot(actually a few times). Shocked

I use some of his techniques in assembly and parts massage and I use his notes on cam timing every time. He is a true "F"er.

His knowledge has been useful here to many of us directly or indirectly. Great stuff, hopefully for generations to come.

Bill, is doing ok, but he's given up on the website, I believe he thinks he wasn't welcomed here. He said the stroke gave him some problems that still persist. That's about all there is to say at the moment.
