About this time tomorrow I will be waiting for the sun to come up so I can head out to Eastern Creek race track for a fix of bike racing.
Meet a few blokes from the forum, check out some cool bikes and have a bloody good day or 3.

I'm already on the plane and are on my way. Like you I am looking forward to it and meeting some from the forum as well. Might be a little busier as I have our Superbike to look after, but never the less will have some spare time I am hoping.

All the best Captain, hope you have a successful weekend of racing, and I also hope to catch up with some F'rs from here. I'll be wearing my CB-F shirt so shouldn't be too hard to miss or you'll see me thrashing my R around the track at lunch time, or not haha, I'm a pussy!!! Hope the rain stays away. |

Is there a live link we can watch from? Don listed a link the one time. That was really cool! |

Not that I know of but you can check results and times through Natsoft.com.au. Click on the bike icon then the Barry Sheene link. Look for the P5 1300cc races |

Went out to the track today and met Brent. Turns out to be not a bad bloke, has a cool bike and seems to know what he is doing.
Met Tony too and we watched a bit of qualifying and had a chat. Excellent day. Good to see a bunch of people having fun with motorbikes.
I'll take a couple of photos on Sunday |

Great fourth place for Vince in the last 1300 race. Storming! Unfortunately a few passing showers are making it a bit sketchy. |

Results are here
http://racing.natsoft.com.au/
Look for P5 1300 & P6 1300 class, and be aware that you have to filter them by class , Vince's is P5U |

Just returned home from a great weekend.
Took 2nd and a cup in our class behind Mal Campbell (period 5 1300) which is a very good result considering we started slow and built the pace up as we went. The conditions were not always perfect as we had rain or light drizzle almost every time we were preparing to go out but it usually cleared by the time we started or a lap or two in, but never the less we did it all and the bike performed flawlessly the entire weekend so I am now confident about it's ability to RPM for extended periods and we tested this in every race. We also spent most of our time experimenting with the creating of a 3D ignition map and were highly successful with this to the point that the increases in power in the lower RPM range was so pronounced that we suddenly developed a big wheelie problem when starting (this caught us out a couple of times). I now "know" that there is significant power to be had in this area and once the bike returns from Australia I will be taking this a lot further. I never had to use a spanner on the bike the whole time and the engine ran flawlessly with oil temps in the 75-84 degree C range, and the engine barrel temps remained low as it has consistently demonstrated previously.
Vince rode carefully and consistently at first but slowly wound it up and I'm more than pleased with the results of what we have achieved. The bike is very fast and over the whole 3 days were never passed in a straight line by anyone, not even when they were in the draft and looking for the tow, we could drop them off.
All in all it was a perfect test for our trip to Spa-Francorchamps in July, so once the bike returns I will be disassembling it for refreshing and preparing it for Belgium.
Captain
Coincidently, I was told and I confirmed for myself that all the opposition T-Rex bikes are fitted with my curved Guides and AHM Tensioners so I'm partly responsible for their reliability as well. |

Congrats on a successful weekend, it was a pleasure to watch it unfold. Vince made it look easy. And boy I hope your back next year as I appreciate it is a huge commitment each year. Bring on Spa! |

Never heard of a "huge wheelie problem" before........
Does Jim have Vince and Hyde stickers to send out with the tensioners he has? Be cool to have them on when I'm done.......... |
