You get used to it..a dip in the hot tub before the ride helps some..
I rode on tuesday, it was +6'C and really windy..
Yesterday it dumped 10cm of snow on us..but it looks like up to +8'C for the weekend...
May be out riding in Dec yet... |

Umm..OK..I guess I'll have to explain that eh?
I would only consider "too much wildlife" as spending too much time drinking beer and partying..
Other than that "wildlife" has never stopped me from riding..
Looks like its going to be nice out again this weekend..the wife and I will defiantly be riding our bikes, even if it is just to go down to MEC for some new camping gear for Christmas... |

Went on a traditional Jan 1 ride. It's called the Chilly Chilli event. It was a police escorted affair. There were hundreds of bikes, mostly Harleys. It was like riding in traffic. But one can't be choosy this time of year. The temp was 33F at 8:30 when I left home. 120 miles and lunch later it went to 52F, sunny and dry. Not a bad day.
Ride safe and have a great year everyone, Chico. |

Hi Rick, I rode my Beemer. The heated grips and seat made the early morning temperature very bearable.

Leaving here in a couple hours for a nice brisk 80 degree ride - no wind expected. |

I work up north in the mining sector where it is currently in the mid 40'sC so leaving home to go riding where it was 20C (I live in the south west)seemed rather cold this morning,Went around the usual route which is about 250Km.The Triumph was singin',no cops or traffic, all was good with the world.

It's pretty mild over here in the UK too - was up to 12 Celsius over the weekend. I keep putting off tearing the CB900F down for a complete rebuild because it's a good runner and I want to ride it. If the weather was too cold, I might get around to it
Hey Tony, say hello to my Brother who lives across the water in Cole Harbour for me... |

Its been in the plus 10'C range here since well before Christmas.
Riding in December AND January...almost unheard of in these parts.
So much so, we had our first MC death (HD going too fast hit a truck) yesterday... |

Sure it gets cold here Jim, but nothing like you guys. Hell, where I live, Winter is actually the best riding time. PROBLEM for me is heat and humidity. It's OK when you're on the open road, but stop at a traffic light and you sweat like a pig. |
