Does everyone (anyone) remember Fasterspider (Ray) having so much trouble with his Dyna 2000. He complained that three complete ignitions failed, they were pieces of shit, etc. and Dyna wasn't giving him good service (of course, it turns out he wasn't even timing them, and he was running copper core wires (expressedlyt verbotten in the manual). He really really hated them
Well, over at the CBXforum he's now a Dyna distributor and hawks thir wares to all the CBX guys. Guess he got over his angst. As I remember his diatribe against them went on for 23 pages on this forum, a record at the time I think.
I don't have the link but if you find it and read it, you can cut the irony with a knife. |

I don't think that he was the only one who had issues with them. Some members felt that sitting in hot oil was what killed them. Don't know if on a CBX has the same issue. Perhaps he figured out how to install them?!?? |

The problem with the Dynas was the early version of the control module. One pair of cylinders would suddenly cut out. I had one do it to me and had to limp home on two. They came out with a newer version and replaced all the old ones that failed on the house, including mine.
I've had three of the new ones for several years with not a lick of trouble. |

He has seen this, a member here (not me) also posted this on cbxworld to his attention under the topic of gossip.
""Hey Ray, they're talking about you on the CB "F" site."

Did not see that.....is it an old thread?
Ray is Ray.....I talk to him a lot.....He has a lot of opinions on things.....and he-
not unlike myself-is entitled to change that opinion......
But really......they must have improved the unit....or else he wouldn't sell them.
He also gives great deals on Dyna coils by buying two sets and breaking them into threes for the CBX guys.......pretty cool in my opinion.
I bought his Accel coils off his bike though because they are Yellow!

Ray states exactly what he is thinking at that moment in time. There is absolutely no questioning where you stand with Ray or what he thinks of something.
But if he finds himself in the wrong, he will call himself all the dirty names, admit the error, and carry on. There isn't many that have that type of honesty or integrity.
I've bought several things off of him, including two sets of Dyna coils off of him and would do it again in a heartbeat.
Two-faced or dishonest are not applicable to him. |

I have not posted on this site in years because I am not welcome here but, I am here now to tell you the poor workmanship issues causing the module failures were fixed over 5 years ago.
Because of those issues, I became freinds with the owner of Dynatek and I stand firm that Dynatek puts good materials out there for your benefit.
If any of you want to discuss this further, find me at fasterspider@gmail.com or at cbxworld.com or cb750c.com.
I have said all here on this site that I have to say to you.
Peace |

I too have purchased Dyna coils from Ray. He was very helpful when I had any questions. Shipping was very prompt. I have no issues with Ray, in my book he is a stand-up person.
