To my knowledge, there's no "kit" - strictly DIY. Maybe a month or so ago, AlaskaGriz posted a very nice diagram of this mod. in one of the Technical Forums (Technical Help IIRC). Do a search or peruse the back pages of that forum & you'll likely find it. |

If you look at the backside of the black fender you can see a perfect ridge to follow. I've used a dremel which was kind of messy, snips, and also an exacto or razor type knife. No matter what you use it will be best finished with some sand paper to smooth it out. Keep using finer paper until there are no scratches left.
Some people also like to recess the entire light into the rear spoiler section. If you do a search you will find a template for that piece.
Others have gone so far as to use flat aluminum or plastic and install completely custom lights on their tails.
One of the coolest sights I have ever seen is following a long line of F tail lights through a winding forest road. Very very cool! |

Stock fenders on these bikes keep you pretty dry, I don't think I would cut mine down. |

Not quite a ‘fender eliminator’ – more like a tail light eliminator

I cut mine down and it looks better without taking it all the way off. I used touch up paint to outline the edges and give it a finished look.
Click the pics below to see it better.
