Always assumed you'd gone with 'lurker' 'cause this ID was dead. Welcome back (I think). |

My "other" personality came back....
I certainly hope I can make it to TN this year. Anyone got a handle on the dates yet that the group plans to meet? I've already gotten one weekend obligated to teaching on the 25th, 26th, and 27th of June if I'm not mistaken. I'll do my level best to make it to a meet any other dates in June but those. I won't promise to ride the F, but it might be possible if all is well with it then. It's just so much of a pain to find fuel that she can use without sounding like parts are trying to free themselves from hard bondage through the valvecover. I'm experimenting with possibly de-tuning a bit more than I already have, and using LOTS of timing retard to intermittently stop severe pinging as needed and on demand. I really miss the big pocketful of rabid ponies I let go when I swapped heads... it's hard to think of losing much more on a permanent or even semi-permanent basis. |

Cool! I'll do my best to set those dates up as untouchable . How about others from the Great White North? Rick, Gord, Tom (has that new mill been broken in yet?), Rob, Matt?
Larry, Susan, Fred, Mace ....y'all repping for the Sunny South around then as well?
TB, TMB...are the locals showin up then too?
Hmmmmm maybe I need to start a new thread somewhere....or resurrect an old one... |

Rick, Rob and I will be there along with at least 7 others from here. Matt will be a no-show till he gets another bike.
Haven't heard from anyone else north of me but Charles and Alan have confirmed to be there as well.
I'll start a new thread in the Rides. |

Hey Tom!
I'm still working on the damn thing. Every time I go to Disenchanted's place he opens the bar up and we end up doing very minor work. It's only been a year and a half so I figure we will have it finished by summer. At this point it only needs the head to be put on.
I will miss the Spring Ride and thought I would make the TN ride for the third week of June but they have moved the dates up as well. I'll just be getting back from Afghanistan when they are finishing up.
I may just have to show up at your door on my own! Can't you get that Sunoco race gas anymore? And what about AVgas from your local airport? |

I'd love to have you visit Tom...the door is always open my friend .
I can still get decent fuel from the race track that is about 30 minutes away. The local store where I used to buy the Sunoco GT 100 quit carrying it though. The race facility has a nice selection ranging from VP110 to the Sunoco NOS Supreme 116. None of them are street legal and it's a little pricey, but worth it to me for no more than I ride her anymore. It's a convenience issue more than anything though...if it would run on something more common, I might ride it more. AVGAS is harder to purchase because of the leaded rating and having to tie the purchase to a specific aircraft. |
