I just got back from my vacation in Florida. While I was there I stayed at Larry's place. And I must tell you , I met Larry & Sue in 2005 at the Honda Hoot and met up with them again this year at the Honda Hoot. Never in my wildest dreams did I think Larry was nothing short that being just a regular guy who worked hard and led a relatively normal life like the rest of us working class people. Boy was I wrong. Larry's wife picked us up at the airport ,driving a new Pontiac g6. Ok it's just a regular mid size car nothing flashy. When we pulled up to their home my jaw dropped to the ground. The spread this guy has is absolutely spectacular. After giving us the nickel tour she (Susan) took us out to the front yard to show us the water front view , from there I almost shit my pants on what I saw. It was a boat, not just any boat, but a boat the size of a house tied to the front of his place. Susan said he bought it last year .This baby is longer and bigger than my house!!! Shocked Never would I have guessed on this man's financial success. When larry got home I had to ask him how the hell he did it. LArry just laughed and the humble man he is just said "well Rick I've made some good sound choices in life that have made me comfortable". I have to say I was amazed at this man's accomplishments and how humble of a man he really is. We had a fantastic holiday with Larry and Susan and it will be something that I'll never forget. One day we went for a short ride as Larry would call it around the coast (about 300 miles) with members from his bike club. We all had a great time.

Here's a pic of Larry & susan in front of their home. I asked Larry if him & Susan would be interested in adopting me. He laughed and said NO!!! At least I tried.

Some thinga are better left unsaid and kept to yourself. Rick, it was nice to see you once again and especially meeting your wife. Maybe next time you are down we can go for a ride on the water. Maybe shoot over to Bimini for a day or two of fishing. That could be nice. Thanks again for exercising my F for me. Now Diane is spoiled by the FJR or at least how smooth it is.

Larry - great upgrade from the '38 SeaRay you had previously. Nice touch on the new dock. The addition seems to have come out just as you planned - is that the billard room or is that the home theatre room?

Has your new Coachman CrossCountry 38' motorhome been delivered yet?

Those investments seem to be really paying off for you. Susan should be so proud she married such a stud & financial wizard - all that rolled into one. - Spook Wink

No problems about the picture. I did not really want it posted because that is just not my style, but what the hell. My neighborhood is gated and has a very extensive security network. Besides, the address is not posted and some of my neighbors have homes that dwarf mine without problem.

Fee, yes we can accomidate 6 people without problems but first you must pass the Honda Hoot interview process.

Spook, both rooms have been finished since your visit. I am not doing the motorhome thing. The one I currently have has not been used since I quit racing cars with the exception of when we lost power during the hurricanes last year. I see no reason in spending that kind of money just to park it.

The motorhome is just an old Southwind that I used to tow my racecar trailer with and have a place to stay when I raced with the SCCA. The races were usually 3 day events and having air conditioning, food, shower, and a bed near the pits always seemed better than driving to a hotel in town. My first Hoot was 4 years ago, we actually converted the trailer to hold 5 bikes and 5 of us went up in the motorhome for the week. Now, for the Hoot, hotels are better. Although it is nice to have around as kind of a guest home for company.

Larry - glad to see you have retained your "practical side." I knew you still had the "practical side" at the Hoot when you brought your "work truck" instead of the Escalade. Besides, with all of using hanging over the 1/4 panels drinking beer around that Chevy pickup, you would have to ask the question where would have put all our empties if you had brought the Caddy? You ended up with enough aluminum in the bed of that truck to cash in for a HD Plasma tv - glad you thought ahead on your vehicle choice.

It's Friday...time to plan what to do for the weekend. The casinos are back open over in Biloxi, sounds like a "road trip" is in order - Spook
